Stuart Zender is one of Britain's greatest bass players, originally a founder member of Jamiroquai he has since worked with many artists including Mark Ronson and Omar. Known for his funk and groove playing, this new Ashdown Funk Face gives you access to some of that classic envelope filter tone alongside some real valve drive tones he is known for.
The Funk Face has a 2 switch, 3 knob layout. The Wah switch engages the filter, the Sensitivity knob controls the envelope filters shape and response, whilst the Output control allows you to blend in just how much you want. With both controls and your playing style, with attack and dynamics, you can go from a subtle colour to all our filter funk goodness.
Additional versatility comes courtesy of the valve drive section. Switchable via the 'Valve' footswitch and controllable with 'Drive' knob, you get access to some real vale drive tones thanks to the built in 12AX7 tube. A cool feature is the handy switch on the side of the pedal allowing you to put the valve pre or post wah more tonal options.
The pedal can also be used as a clean boost too as the Output level controls the balance between effect and true bypass level.
